The back of the hair topper should be pulled down to the natural hairline in the back. hair toppers have adjustable Velcro and elastic tabs in the back so you can adjust your hair topper for a secure, comfortable fit. There are also small tabs in the front of the ears that can be adjusted to hold the hair topper close to the face.

Q2. How Do I Choose A Color?

To easily select a color, buy a color ring prior to choosing your item. Color rings are the best option for frequent hair topper and hairpiece wearers. They make changing colors convenient and easy. Another option is to view our color chart online. Colors may vary depending on the computer and monitor you are using to view the color chart. To safely choose a color, we highly recommend purchasing a color ring.

The hair toppers we carry are “shake & wear” and can be styled by simply using a wide tooth comb or your fingertips. The best styling tool is the most inexpensive; a spray bottle of clean, cool water. Lightly spritz your hair topper with water to remove static electricity and return your hair topper to its original look. On straight styles, mousse and brush lightly.

Q10. Which Should I Choose Synthetic Or Human Hair?

Today's better quality synthetic hair toppers are virtually indistinguishable from human hair, except to the most practiced eye. Synthetic hair toppers are easier to care for and lower priced. The monofilament fiber "hair" used to make synthetic hair toppers has "memory" which means it maintains its wave or curl, texture and volume, requiring minimal upkeep. Synthetic hair toppers, however, are not designed to accept a permanent wave or color change and can be permanently damaged by the use of curling irons, blow dryers or hot rollers.

Q11. How Many Types Of Human Hair Are Used To hair toppers?

There are four basic types of human hair used in hair toppers: Chinese, Indian, Indonesian and Caucasian (also called European hair). Clip in hair extensions are wefts of hair with secure clips sewn into the hair tracks. These are fantastic for a quick short term new look. They are also a great way of checking your look if you are thinking of going for the more permanent glue in extensions.

Q13. Can I Use Heated Products On My Hair Pieces?

In general human hair hair toppers can withstand heated products but it is advisable not to use heated appliances on synthetic hair. Always check with your supplier. In both cases of human and synthetic hair, we recommend that you treat your hair piece like skin and protect it from extreme weather. For instance, wear a hat when sunbathing or outdoors in heavy rain and wind.

Q13. Can You Explain Different Kinds Of hair toppers?

The cap is the base of the hair topper to which hair is attached. hair toppers are available with several different types of caps and the hair of the hair topper is then attached to the cap using various techniques. Each cap type has its own distinct advantages. On most hair toppers, hair is attached in "wefts". These are strings of hair doubled over and sewn closely together in long strands. This string is then machine sewn, hand sewn or hand tied horizontally onto the vertical lines of a hair topper cap.

A standard cap is the most common and most affordable cap design. The layers of hair are machine-sewed onto the cap, which has a closed lace layer at the crown. The hair is pre-designed into a specific style and the crown is often lightly teased or crimped so you cannot see down through to the cap. This type of cap often gives the hair a natural lift at the crown for volume.

A capless hair topper is very similar to the standard cap design. However, instead of the closed lace layer at the crown, it has vertical lace strips with open spaces between the wefts. The open-wefting in the crown, back, and sides allows for maximum ventilation. This makes the cap lighter weight and cooler than a standard cap.

Monofilament caps are constructed using a thin, breathable nylon or polyester mesh material at the crown that gives the illusion of skin and assumes the wearer's natural scalp color by partially revealing the scalp below. Monofilament caps offer the most natural look as well as styling versatility because each hair is individually hand tied at the crown so the hair can be parted and brushed in any direction. The entire hair topper may be hand tied, or the hair topper may have a monofilament crown with wefted sides and back. Monofilament hair toppers are an especially good choice for those with severe or total hair loss as the cap is soft, unlike cloth material, which can be itchy to those with sensitive scalps.

Will a hair Topper look natural?

If you're looking for some extra volume to cover up certain areas of your hair that may be thinning, a hair topper can be the perfect solution to providing a gorgeous and natural transformation.

Does wearing a topper damage hair?
In short, no. Hair toppers are completely safe and a great way to disguise hair loss or try a new look! However, while hair toppers are not bad for your hair, using them improperly is. Luckily, using them correctly is easy!

Is a topper more comfortable than a wig?
Because they are smaller and don't cover your whole head there is a lot less cap and hair to deal with when wearing them. They are also the best alternative to a full wig! No matter what options you are considering, toppers are the most comfortable, easiest to apply, and the most cost-effective.

Are hair toppers better than extensions?
While toppers are more ideal for those who have bald spots prevalent, extensions are ideal for those who have thinning or shorter hair overall than they would like. All you have to do is install it and you have longer and thicker hair instantly!

How to Correctly Apply a Hair Topper
Once you have your perfect hair topper you are ready to clip it in and strut your stuff!
1. Open all the clips on the underside of the topper.
2. Lightly tease your hair in the areas where the topper clips will attach to get a more secure hold.
3. Place topper over the area of hair loss and secure the front clip.
4. Place light pressure over the top of the hairpiece and run your fingers over the length of the base to secure the back clips.
5. Keep the base pulled tightly across the top as you secure any remaining clips.
6. Style and blend hair as desired.

What length hair topper should I get

The is determined by the length of your biological hair. Most toppers come in 8”, 12” and 18”. If you want a more layered look, you can go slightly shorter. If you go longer, you will likely need to have it styled/cut to blend in with your bio-hair.

Should a hair Topper be the same length as your hair?

For the most natural look, we recommend matching your hair topper length to your biological hair length. Toppers come in various lengths, from short to medium and long. There is a strong probability that you will not find a hair topper that matches your exact hair lengths.

Can a hair Topper be longer than your hair?

I also discuss the age old question of, CAN I WEAR A. TOPPER LONGER THAN MY BIO HAIR. The short. answer is, YES!

How do I choose a hair topper color?

Whilst there are a wide range of colours available, you aren’t guaranteed to find a perfect match to your hair tone. To combat this and achieve the most natural look, choose the closest matching colour and then have your natural hair professionally dyed to match the topper. Or, if a difference is barely noticeable, you might just be able to get away with it!
If you’re having a hard time matching your natural hair colour exactly, I would recommend buying a light coloured hair topper (like platinum which makes a great colour base) then dyeing it to match your hair.
Sometimes, toppers can be difficult to colour match, but there’s nothing stopping you from dyeing your natural hair if you find a topper you love in a gorgeous colour.
You’ll get a more accurate colour match if you match the topper to the exact shade of the hair that’s on top of your head (usually 1-2 inches from the front hairline). Remember that your hair can be lighter and slightly darker in places, for example, the hair that frames your face is often lighter.

Can you wear your hair up with a topper?

Make a ponytail
Take a little bit of the topper hair, a little bit of your own hair, and a little bit of the hair in front. Then hold the rest of the hair in the back like a ponytail. You can leave a little bit of hair over the top of your ears if you have hair loss in that area and you want to cover it.

How do you brush your hair with a topper?
Use a paddle brush, not a fine-tooth comb. Always start brushing from the bottom of the hair and gently work your way up. Avoid combing the hair when it's wet as the knots can loosen over time. Store your piece on a mannequin head when it's not in use to help keep its shape.

How long can you wear a hair topper?

With good and proper care, your hair topper can last longer than usual. On average, hair toppers can last between six months to over a year. You can extend its longevity by not washing it as often as your natural hair. Another way to make it last longer is to store your hair topper in a box when not in use.

How do I maintain my hair topper?

Conditioning Your Wig or Hair Topper
We recommend deep conditioning your hair piece every time you wash your wig or hair topper. Because you are applying a mask, you don't need to use regular conditioner on the piece. To do this, pat the wig or hair topper dry so that it's about 50% dry.

Can you get hair toppers wet?

So I'll stop my little suspense: the answer is YES! ?? You can safely swim in the pool or the sea with your topper hair or wig. The toppers and wigs Like a tiara are made of natural hair. They will react like your own hair to the contact of sea water or chlorinated water of the swimming pool.

How often do you wash a hair topper?

Hair toppers need washing after around 7-10 days of wear. You can usually tell when a wash is needed as the hair will start to look and feel a little clumpy in longer styles or may start to sit much flatter on the head in shorter styles.

How to wash your hair topper?

1. First of all, you need to prepare your wig for washing. Yes, you need to comb your wig properly and make sure the hair wig does not contain any knots or tangles. You need to gently comb your hair wig from start to end.
2. Now, fill your sink with cold water and put one to two squeezes of shampoo. You should always choose the best shampoo that does not damage your wig. You should choose the shampoo according to the type of the wig you are having. If you are having curly wig, then you need to choose the shampoo that is made for washing the curly wig. You can try a color-safe shampoo to keep the color of your hair wig as it is.
3. Gently rinse your wig. You should wash the wig to all its inside and outside portion without leaving any. Dip your wig on the water and again rinse the wig. Do this for some minutes until the shampoo on the wig is completely washed.
4. For achieving a better wash, you can soak the wig in water for 5 minutes. You do not need to move your wig around this time. If you do rinse or squeeze the wig too much, then your wig will have tangles.
5. Now, wash the wig with the new cold water and make sure all the shampoo is gone.
6. It is the time to apply conditioner to your hair wig. As like the shampoo, you need to choose the high-quality and safe conditioner. At times, strands are knotted onto the lace. If you apply the conditioner to your wig, the knots will be undone and the strands will fall out.
7. You need to wait for two minutes at least after applying condition to your wig. After two minutes, you can wash your hair wig with cold water. Wash it until the water runs clear.
8. If you are using the leave-in conditioner on your hair wig, then you do not need to wash it after applying the conditioner.
9. You should squeeze the water out from your hair wig and let the wig dry. Your wig should be dried well for the next use.
